Group messages are end-to-end encrypted for every member. Adding someone never exposes what was said before they joined.
Arabic-aware from the start
Names sort by Arabic letters, search ignores hamza and diacritics, and mentions work with Arabic and Latin names alike.
Voice in the group
Voice notes in groups show who has listened. Long threads have a "voice only" filter so you can catch up on the way home.
Mute that means mute
Eight hours, a week or forever. Mentions and replies to you can still get through if you want them to.
Admin tools that work
Only-admins-can-add, only-admins-can-post for announcements, invite links you can revoke, and a members list that shows who added whom.
Questions people ask
Can I join a group without giving everyone my number?
Members see the display name you set. Your number is visible only to people who already have it in their contacts, unless you choose to share it.
What happens when I leave?
You disappear from the member list and stop receiving messages. Your earlier messages stay in the group, attributed to you by name.
Is there a limit on media?
Photos up to 16 MB and files up to 100 MB. Group media is encrypted once and delivered to each member, so it does not multiply your data usage by 500.
Can admins read private messages between members?
No. Admins control the group, not the encryption. Private chats between two members are a separate, separately encrypted conversation.
